it can measure anything you want measured.
for me the things i wantede it for:
suspension travel
lean angle / acceleration/ decelaration
brakingpoint
good GPS apart from the DP gps
laptime on the wall
+ all the stuff the bikes ECU gathers
think something like 2K euros not mounted.. speak this through with your mechanic... i know mine sighed with relief the moment i told him Steve would handle it..
