Just wanted to share so everyone can point and laugh. Also, ample opportunity to once again scratch your head at Italian engineering. I'm so close...

Hah trolls, yeah. That's what 14000 miles might look like. I out the rubber hoses back all is well continuing install.

The little ones that take awhile are a real pain in the ... to put in.

I put the rubber ones back on, F this. On top of that the smallest one was damaged by yours truly in a fit of rage.

I also discovered a horizontal valve cover leak. Ducati strikes again... Major service soon, so .... it.

Can't say I didn't warn you about those. . . .

Got to chime in here with a couple of Bro' fists .. yeah, them two little pipes are real mind benders, easier to take the engine out completely. I know that it does not matter that other people don't know the two little pipes are not there/complete .......s to install, hell they are never going to see them, however YOU KNOW !!!

Yeah, add the two little pipes to the to-do-list.

definitely looks better than stock but other than better looks, what advantage can I expect from these hose? will it make the coolant flow better? lower operating temp?

The advantages are increased flow, reduced heat transfer from engine to coolant via radiant heat through hoses, and they last longer.

Will I notice? Not sure, but fixing the last two hoses is now a medium term goal lol. I will likely have to custom order the small hoses.

Increased flow - possibly, probably
reduced heat transfer from engine to coolant - not likely and less so. Silicone is a better insulator of heat than the original rubber hoses - which means that LESS radiant heat exits through the hoses. . ..

Hot shot, reread what I wrote. I said ENTERING via radiant heat. :)

Try to sharp shoot me again ;).

Best of luck, seriously. Everything else was easy.

Did you take the water distributor assembly off the vertical head to get the two pipes on? I will be fitting this kit to my new bike but it actually looks easier to remove the whole airbox and throttle assembly to do it. I stripped my last two bikes down to the engine so not too concerned about doing this as it means the pipes will be easy to access and there is a bunch of other stuff I can do with the front end removed. Got the engine support tool on order from Ducati, so hopefully it will prove of use.
