Has anyone experienced this.

Can bearly seat on the bike after 10 or 20 seconds of riding in a straight

Not after my tune and D184 Termi slip-ons. My bike temps (outside) felt 20-30 degrees cooler. I also run water wetter too. The V4 feels much cooler than my 1199S did.

For that blast furnace I coated the pipes inside and out with Jet Coat, wrapped the pipes and water wetter. Holy cow! But I was also living in Colorado where you get a ton of heat soak due to the elevation.

What exhaust and what tune?

Stock or after exhaust and tune I don't remember there being a lot of heat from the seat. Both before and after my left calf still gets hot. In leathers on the track I never notice, only in jeans and on the street.

Can you tell us which tune and exhaust you have?

I have a spark 3/4 double high exhaust with MWR Sbk air filter

And a tune from a local guy. But he has no dyno. And he is like 2 hours away from me. So can’t make adjustments quickly.

I will see him next trackday to make some adjustments at the track.

But wanted to know if anyone had experienced something like this with their set up.

I am 99% sure the bike must be running extremely lean.

So are you saying your local guy is adjusting your map by feel? Or are you running a logging system with wideband O2 sensors on the bike?

I guess he just gets a map from his source

Or makes adjustments by his experience (leaning out the fuel mixture)

But I guess like Craig said, that the air fuel ratio was already correct on the 22 bike, and now by his adjustments it is running lean

Even I have to agree these bikes are too fast to tune using the assometer. Part throttle yes full throttle no way. You can tune by running the motor between markers an 1/8 mile more or less apart just by using terminal mph (tuning the same as you would at the drags). Rolling start. I use 3rd. Everyone has to amuse ones self somehow. But I live in the sticks. Best way is buy dyno time or buy a tune from a bike with the identical set up.

I am also worried

I am thinking on going back to stock

I'm thinking that's a good idea. Fresh start. Buy a tune from somebody with dyno facilities etc. If your guy leaned it way down be thankful you have knock sensors.

Have you ridden the bike with the aftermarket exhaust and the stock tune? How do you know the tune is the cause of the additional heat? All that said, it sounds like a questionable tuning approach.

If you're in the US, SLR offer a very good tune also. Deussen/Bren/SLR all use the same hardware and software, but with their own maps.

Why didn't you go with SLR-tuning or Woolich??? A lot of folks are having great success with either option.
