Seat

The seat is super comfy IMO. Good grip for sure, I think it's something like synthetic suede.

Is it outside the realm of possibility to hope for a more comfortable seat that does not put more weight on your wrists at some point? Or am I living in a dream world?
J.

Got my bike yesterday, rode it 260 miles from the dealership. The stock seat about killed me, I had to keep sitting up off the seat to get some circulation back. Put the race seat on tonight, haven't ridden it yet with it on, but it feels significantly higher than the stocker, and not much softer. It does have room to break in (there's more padding in there). I'll report back when I have some miles on the new seat.

I got a Comfit Seat today and I love it, I got use to the original one but the riding position is much better on the comfit and looks great.

My solution to this problem was the luimoto seat gel and one of their seat covers as mentioned by another member above. You can see my thoughts of it and my installation method near the end of this thread.

I highly recommend it if you do not like or prefer the dp racing seat or comfort seat as I did not. The seats were both too high and not as comfortable all things considering as I had hoped. IMO

So I had the comfort seat on for about 4,000km and was very happy with it but wrists were under a bit of pressure but nothing serious.

However when I fitted the rear sets I thought I'd try the race seat anyway. I put it on and have done around 200km today with no problems with comfort and I find it lowers me slightly and keeps me back of the tank (which I'm guessing it's designed to!).

Anyway worth a go if you want a comfortable ride but without compromising the ride position. I'm gonna do 2,500km long weekend shortly so will report back.

Been on the race seat for 2500k's and no worries at all, in fact it has gone a bit softer.....all these bumpy roads I guess:D

Sounds like a good weekend.....enjoy and safe travels.
