Hello...........Looking for seats. See Corbin has a new one for the V4. Has anyone tried one yet?

I wish there was a seat that is angled slightly backwards (not forwards) so that when hard under brakes you are not smashing your balls into the tank

I had the corbin for my 1299. Took it off and sold it. Too wide. I wound up buying the Luimoto gel insert and seat cover and installed it into my stock seat. Install wasnt too bad. It felt so great I wound up buying the Luimoto gel inserts for my S1000RR and S1000R front seats. And bought seat covers for the front and rear on the S1000R and front seat cover for the S1000RR. Bellissimoto sells them. Here is the link to Luimoto. For some reason they dont list the V4 seat covers when you click on Ducati. But on their home page you will see the pics of the V4 with their seat covers. Their gel will fit any seat since it has to be cut out. https://www.luimoto.com/ click on Video on their site and they will show you the installation

luimoto says that their gel kits wont work for the stock seat. They said they were looking into maybe doing it for the comfort seat.

The Luimoto gel kit is a big square. You have to cut it out to make it fit on your bike. Like the video says. You take the square gel pad. Put in over your seat and slide it back and forth and side to side until you like the feel. They cut away the gel parts and then cut into the seat. I dont see why it wont fit a stock V4 seat. You have to do all the work yourself. Maybe they are saying it wont work because they didnt try it out yet.

Same thing happened to me when I ordered a corbin seat for my 2015 S1000R. Corbin didnt make a seat for the 2015 s1000R. But I knew that the 2015 S1000R frame was the same frame as the 2014 S1000RR. In 2015 the S1000RR got a new frame. But the subframes were the same. So I called the parts department at my BMW dealer and asked if the seat part number was the same on the 2014 S1000RR as the seat part # for the 2015 S1000R. They said same part number and same subframe. So I called corbin and told them what I found out. They said ok we will make the seat for you but if it doesnt fit we wont take it back. Lesson learned , next time I try something like that I wont tell them its for another model just in case. So basically I ordered a S1000RR seat for a 2014. I got it in and their was this bar that went across the bottom of the seat with these little hollow bars and the screws went through bars into the bike. Of course they didnt line up and I thought I was screwed. Then I noticed there was a bolt that was holding the bar in place. I unscrewed it. Then lined it up with the part of the bike the screws when into and presto it fit perfect. Corbin just didnt know where to align that bar exactly. Moral of the story. The manufacturer doesnt always know if it will work. I say get the gel pad and insert it. I am sure it will fit. Remember you have to cut into the seat to make it fit and the gel is so flexible

Wider seats give you less movebility from side to side.1199 was very good example very narrow lots of room and very painful on longer rides.race seat fix this issue.my other bike Rsv4rf completely opposite. DP race seat or comfort seat will fix all you problems
