Service and Expectations

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I just showed up without an appointment today, tacked on a couple things like flushing my coolant system and replacing with track-approved water wetter, and it was ready in four hours. In the meantime they went over my bike pretty thoroughly and found a loose clamp that had been very slowly dripping coolant.

It was very, very expensive, but I like the service guys and know they really look over my machines.

Let me guess, $800 for initial service and swapping the coolant

I like saving money too much, and basic service on bikes is generally easier than cars

It was probably more like $500. I enjoy saving money too but if you plan on keeping this bike the valve service is going to set you back quite a bit and I wouldnt recommend doing it yourself despite your mechanical ability.
