Shifttech Carbon Exhaust Guard Install

Anybody install this yet, cause to me it looks like you have to remove the exhaust to do it. Can't slide the left side of the existing guard out without snipping zip ties which are almost impossible to get at and even then I can't see how the one piece unit will slide in without removing the exhaust. Any help appreciated!!
