I'm just telling you what people have done. Do you know that where I live, if you go 40 km/h (25mph) over the ultra low speed limit (80km/h (50mph) on the highway) they will impound you for for a week give you an immediate suspension of 15 days? That's just the start, after $2,000 in fees to get your vehicle back, your license will go under review at which time it will probably be suspended for 3 months minimum. You can get impounded on a 600cc sport bike in FIRST GEAR.

Some people decide to avoid those penalties any way they see fit. If you get caught running from the cops, it really doesn't matter whether you had a flippy plate or not. If they catch you with a flippy plate in a parking lot, all they can do is give you a minor fix it ticket.

I can semi-relate as I came from VA area. 20mph over the speed limit and you can face a $2,000 USD fine and then a driver will pay $5.00 for every mph he or she is driving over the speed limit plus court fees of $62.00 fine with 6 points on your license or the same as a DUI..... Not to mention even if the speed limit is 65mph anything past 80 is considered wreckless driving and you could be theoretically fined $2,000 for doing 16mph over or 81mph

Just moved to Thailand for my job, if police pull you over here its simply a 500 baht fine which is equivalent to $16 :D which you can just pay cash to the police. Still like the flippy plate regardless though haha

It's not rocket science, of course it is illegal to have the plate flipped up on the road. If you park next to a cop, he'll never even know you have one. Unless you're a retard and leave it up in the parking lot, or sport a "PLATEFLIPPER.COM" decal.

Some people take it a step further and install 3 switches, one to kill the headlight, one to kill the taillight, and one to flip the plate.

I still miss the point of the flipper plate, so what exactly is it for?

For riding like an ....... People can't call in your license plate number, and for the brave that want to run from the police, they won't be waiting at your door without a plate number either. Didn't know this was so complicated to comprehend!

I see, so I did get the right idea of your flipping plate in the first place, when I crave for speed, I bring it to the track, and the so called brave you describe did took the life of my 12 years old niece 2 years ago. I still love riding, but choose to do so responsibly, if u don't ride like an ass, I don't think u need this

Riding a motorcycle is dangerous. Preaching to the choir my friend. We weren't discussing the morale of riding, just pointing out that it does happen.

Ducati Performance part is simple - all on/all off

However, I'm sure you'll be able to source something in the aftermarket that will meet your requirement.
