to finish it, we stopped at "der Biergarten" in Atlanta, authentic Bavarian restaurant, with great Hefeweizen, as the headline in the back says: "do your thing first, then drink and laugh"

They still run that track in both directions?

A few friends and I used to rent it on a weekday (was only 300-400 back in late 90's) and run one direction in the morning and the opposite in the afternoon. WERA would alternate directions on different race weekends so we'd get some practice in each direction. Was fun with just 4 or 5 people there. But I hated racing there (especially first WERA weekends in late Feb - track surface was like glass. Would just slide into every corner).

Worlds largest go-kart track.

dunno if they still do both directions... I would have preferred cw in the morning ccw in the afternoon ;)

yes, it is quite a small track, 2nd in the right hander, all others 3rd or 4th at higher speeds.

go kart track ;)

Great pics Phil!

That's a fun little track. It's not fun when it floods!

did you see the pics from a few weeks back the whole track was underwater including the tower and paddock area.

This was the May 18 weekend. same weekend we did a track day at Barber where after initial rain, the track dried and was spectacular.

No, I had not seen the pics.

I was there several years ago, and we got hit bad.

We road in the rain for a bit until the backside of the track was completely underwater.

I'm sure I'll run into soon enough at the track. It's the best addiction ever.;)

Holy Moly!

You could still see the line where the water was standing high though...
