Hi guys,
I’m looking for 11nm springs for original Showa fork. Any advise where from those could be ordered ?
I do bottom out mine in corners with full preload and compression almost closed.
If anybody did this change, how much stiffer is 11nm compared to stock?

Thanks,
Ilya

I was going to go with springs for my V2 forks, but I ended up just installing Andreani cartridges. Excellent upgrade for the price. I don't bottom out under hard braking and I use zero preload now instead of 100% like I did with the OEM. Sorry, I can't help with info on just springs.

Thanks, looks interesting!
I see that the kit comes with different springs, did you use the same 10nm spring or stiffer one ?
Showa BPF is not a bad fork, the question how much improvement comes from this cartridge swap instead of just using different springs...

If it's the same Showa 43mm BPF that's used on an Panigale 899 then, according to K-Tech when I was emailing them last year the stock rate is 10 Newtons/Millimeters with a length of 273 mm and an outside diameter of 38mm.Looks like both K-Tech (FRSP S3827 +FRSP S3627)and Sonic Spring charts do not go as high as 11 Newton/Millimeters (for just springs alone).

Keep in mind Showa BPF have long top out springs which affect measurements of sag

When your stock springs are out, have a shop measure the spring rate of them for you, just to be sure of your starting point.I was able to have this done at a local shop for free in under 10 minutes.

Their MAY be a descripency in the fork oil that your manual says you have.i.e. the viscosity in centistokes at 40 and 100 deg.

I'm saying all this as when the fork is apart for your spring correction you can fine tune your fork oil at the same time.

Andreani works a bit differently. You tell them your weight with gear and riding style (street, track, fast track, race) and they install the correct spring but they won't tell you what it is or the conversion for their numbers. I am 192 with gear and ride track days. They sent me springs marked K100. My sag numbers are right where I want them with zero preload and I use 2/3 (or a bit more) of my travel now, but don't bottom out. Stock springs were bottoming out with hard braking and 100% preload and damping. Andreani tends to send springs on the stiffer side, so I would not want this setup for the street. The cartridges are not highly adjustable, but they are a vast improvement over stock and are really affordable. Installation was very easy but I do own some suspension tools.
