Hi all! Well I've been doing track days on my Tri for the last couple years and love riding the track but sometimes there's that vision in my head of a crash. I would be very very unhappy crashing the Tri.

Anyway...I've always wanted to race so I thought the best thing to do would be to get a track only bike and get rid of the crash worries. I think I've found the perfect bike and price so I'm gonna pull the trigger and pick it up tomorrow. It's a 2010 RSV4 Factory with 2200 miles and ready for the track for only $8k! I haven't found any decent track ready bikes for this price or if I took a decent street R6 and converted it to track only it wouldn't be much cheaper from what I see.

I know a lot of you guys on here have plenty of track/racing experience and bike knowledge and I appreciate all the expertise that everyone shares. So, what do you guys think about the RSV4 for a good track/race bike? Good deal?

Love it..Great bike track ready and good price.... No idea of the specs of the track you ride but if it suits a superbike then great find....

That's a bargain!!

Awesome bike and a great price with very little miles.....unless of course those are all track miles. Even then it's still not a bad deal. Great find overall.

Thanks for the input guys. Not sure if they're all track miles but I was told the first owner put 1400mi and the current owner put on the other 800. The current owner picked it up track ready so those 800 are all track.

The track down the road from me has a front straight that I hit 173mph on the Tri and I believe 2 of the other 3 tracks around are superbike friendly but haven't riden them yet.

Hey Sprinkles! Just curious but are you a sprinkler fitter? I'm an electrician (Sparky) and we call sprinkler fitters sprinkles...lol

That bike should do well at the ridge, i haven't ridden one but had seen a few rip at the track when I have seen them.

Alright... I made the 3 1/2hr drive to see the RSV4 and it was as good as it looked in the picks and sounded AWESOME! So of course I bought it!

Here's a quick rundown of what it came with:
ASV levers, Attack rearsets, Leo Vince SBK full Ti system, full track plastics as you can see, Cox rad guards, Shorai battery, Woodcraft case sliders, frame sliderers, Rizoma case saver, Driven clip-ons, 520 kit, Pit Bull rear stand and trailer restraint.

Can't wait to get it on the track!

Shhhh...(quiet whisper) as you can see the Tri is covered in the background... I can't let her see me caressing another Italian beauty.

Clean and inspect...get rid of all stickers and numbers.
Ahhh much better!

How is it that I have an R and am jealous of you?

Before I laid down the cash on the R I had serious thoughts about the Factory. It fit so nice. If I could I'd have both.

Congrats!

if my dealer would have let me test ride on in 2011, i'd be on a Barilla now. ;)

that engine sound!

Please report back how she rides, pulls and compares to the 1199 :)

Cheers!

Lol! The R is a beautiful machine and the only reason I have a Pani and the RSV4 is beacuase of the deal I found.

Thx Phil! Oh the V4 sound melts my butter....:p I'll try and post a video. Do I use YouTube to post videos?

If all goes well I'm planning for my first track day on 4/20. Once I get my own trailer setup to haul both bikes I'll take them and do some back to back comparisons on the track.
