Recently I some work done on an old bike which required some engine work I did not have the skills to do. Included in this work was replacing a ruptured brake line and fitting new pads. Obviously new fluid and brakes were bled.
Work was done well but I had to bleed the the front brake the other day after installing some new clip ons.
I found the Master cylinder full of crud. So pulled it out and gave it a good clean. Bent up a tooth brush to remove some locked in dirt stuck in the brembo name and product code inside the reservoir. Used by best friend Solvol Autosol from Germany to clean up the little bolts and plate. Time consuming but satisfying. Its now as clean as from the day in came from the factory 38 years ago.
