Hey all,

Understanding that the 1299s has some vibration to it, has anyone used either of these locks with the vibration dampener on an iPhone 12 Pro or Pro Max? I'm a little hesitant with the camera stabilization but damn is it nice having the phone in front of you for Waze/directions/etc.

my 11 pro Max goes on a ram mount with a MagSafe charger epoxied to it and draws data off the 12 pro Max that stays in the pocket

if you mount yer 12 to the bike, the cameras will fail, guaranteed
 
I’ve been using the quad lock with 11 pro max and now 12 pro. No issues other than you have to use a work around for the stem mount as the 2 provided don’t work with V2. A toggle bolt solves that.

Would you mind sharing pics of your install? I’m trying to determine how I want to install a cell phone mount on my V2.

Sure can. I'll take some later today and post. It's definitely nice having it for GPS or seeing if I need to pull over for important texts. For calls, I can answer on my Cardo BT.

Thanks buddy! I bought a Sena 50S but the sound quality sucks. No bass at all. Disappointed for how much it cost.

The Cardo Freecom 4 is what I'm using and it sounds awesome. Probably depends on helmet too for wind reduction. I have an Arai Regent X and the new Shoei RF-1400 and the music and call quality is pretty premium in both. I did upgrade to the JBL speakers so that probably helped.

Damn, maybe I should have went that route.I have a Shoei GT Air II. I have read a lot of great reviews on the Cardo.

Here’a shots of the mount as well as the toggle bolt you’ll need. You will not use either of the expandable attachments that go in the fork tube. One is too small and the other too large. Someone told me how to make them fit using electrical tape but I never got it to work and remain steady. If you put a bit of electrical tape on each end of the little wings of the toggle bolt it does help it grab on better. So basically you’ll drop the toggle bolt through the quad lock stem and then into the fork tube just like regular install. Tighten with Phillips. Not too tight, they are weak aluminum screws and I have snapped them off. As far as using the mount, I use it with my phone vertical. I’m sure horizontal would work too. It has had no issues at 150+ mph.

I had the Quadlock on my V2. It work great. I added the wireless charging after finding out how quickly my iPhone 12 battery drained during a 3 hour ride using nav and streaming music.

I plan to install it again on my next bike whenever it arrives...
 
Indeed, the camera system fails to focus.
I have a beautiful pacific blue iPhone 12 Pro Max that I keep in my pocket and pop my 11 pro Max in the mount. Mines a Ram mount with the toggle bolt but quad lock does have a vibration decoupling mechanism but the new phones have that fancy camera tech

the other thing is it’ll chew through your battery health keeping the screen on bright. It’ll run hot and burn through that charge but also crush the longevity of the battery. Nbd $70 replacement

iPhone 12 has magnets so that MagSafe charging pad locks the phone to it and the Ram mount arms go the extra step to secure the device.

now I need a mount for my iPad Pro

anyone mess with AirPods Pro for riding? Good as foam ear plugs

The junk yard demanded them. Could make some tables or lamps out of the wheels but they have to be rattle can’d “inner city chrome” so they look cool and uhh circular’d back out or as fixed as possible.
