Special CFRP cooling pipes from Sprint Filter

First, the pieces look nice. That however is moot as these pieces are not visible with the fairings installed so I completely fail to see any benefit from a visual perspective. The MAC, Febur, H2O radiators ship with light weight aluminum pipe that you would be hard pressed to notice a weight difference with the CF pipe so mechanically, I do not see it. The only place I see a potential advantage would be in some sort of modified system that required some sort of custom bend or route. If you buy these to put on a stock cooling system, your next purchase should be meds from your shrink as you would have lost your mind. Also these are from Sprint, the same guys who get $400.00 for a filter. Your not going to like the cost. I like CF but this is just goofy.

I saw your comment Topolino and just wondering why you are saying that ? do you think it does not work very well. I was looking for the English version to read more about it but have not found it yet.

Seems a tad overpriced for what it is, when it (and this is true of most aftermarket parts in carbon fibre) offers little discernible advantage, though we are all guilty of buying the stuff! My real concern is it's lack of flexibility and that you still have to use rubber or silicone pipe sections as part of the setup, meaning more jubilee clamps and more points where a possible leak can occur. They do look good though!

The RS bikes that the factory team uses with the larger radiator has a similar setup. Aluminum pipes connected by small pieces of silicone tubes. Aluminum is not any more flexible than CF and they use the same small silicone tubes to join junctions together, so there must be some advantage in this setup, but the price is definitely too high and the weight saving from these CF pipes over an aluminum tube would probably be measured in grams, not ounces, let alone pounds.

Yes I am familiar with the set-up as I had something very similar on my 999 a few years back. Just thinking that the extra clips add to the number of potential leakage points whereas rubber or silicon hoses ultimately provide a better and more cost effective solution. As I said, look good, but way over-priced IMHO.

"Yes you can. I've seen tea bags with better water retention than Samco rubbish....."

Ok I'll bite. What issues have you had with Samco products?

Never ever had any issue with SAMCO hoses!

These hoses are hand made. If one should encounter a problem, just contact the company. They will gladly help you.

And buy their inox clamps. Only with them installed, warranty is given. The trick is that these clamps have rounded edges which inhibts them from cutting into the silicone.

BTW: I can get one new 1199 samco hose kit in red for a freaking good price... just in case somebody is interested. I already put SAMCO on all my bikes, because of the bling factor.

Agreed. Used Samco and Viper in many builds. Never has an issue. Only issue I have ever seen for others were maybe the pre fab bends needed some tweaking. Never seen a fluid retention issue.

We are selling them only for 50 Panigale Owners. You order by 23th of December and we will start in shipping from 7th of January until march.

Until March 2017 we will not sell them to public.
Price is 630 € shipping cost included.

With all due respect to Sprint Filetrs, you folks have lost all sense of reality. Your pricing is absolutely ridiculous (much like the pricing on your poorly made filters) along with your silly exclusivity.

Ok first off it takes a bit to get me going. We sling a good bit of poop here every once in a while and its all in fun but every once in a while something so disturbing comes along that I fall off the wagon. This post falls into that category. Firs off I am completely guilty of buying over priced things that would cause someone to look at me a bit sideways. The EVO calipers at 4K a side or forks at 13K come to mind. That's excessive and difficult to justify given the application. Excessive and difficult to justify and just plain foolish are two different things. These pipes for sure fall into the latter category. First off you cant see them. The pipes are covered by the electronics holder and the fairing so the only "bling" factor is going to be in the way of a photo you took during installation and at the Starbucks when at the right moment, you can exclaim "hey, I have carbon radiator pipes". Other than that, zilch. Secondly, weight savings. If this is even a consideration over whats cheaply available from the aftermarket radiator mfg then you need to check into Jenny Craig and drop some fat cause you ain't gonna loose it here. Third, Dragon Plate can make these for you at a fraction of the cost. Last but not least, 630 euros? I would love to sit down with the bean counters and the sales and marketing dept at Sprint. These guys are truly in a class of some unconventional thinking.
Yes I was one of the goofballs that plucked down $400.00 ea for some of their filters. As someone else here stated, it literally looked like a blind guy installed the filter membrane in the frame. Silicon everywhere and nothing was straight.Additionally the frame has no pliable sealing material at the airbox interface. The P16 filter is extremely easy to replicate and realistically should retail for $65.00. I was able to make a jig for the CF frame very easily and the filter material is pennies from a variety of sources. This company flat out pisses me off with their grandiose BS and now they throw in some "exclusivity" crap. Sorry Sprint, Just laying it out there. I of course do not speak for anyone but myself. Personally, I find your offering insulting.
