pretty funny how come no pictures when he finishes out of the top 3. As usual the brakes go his way. JLO hurt badly. Crutchlow not passing JLO cause he is factory Yamaha (even announcers said it). MM hurt. even a broken clock is right twice a day

46 has always been a good assen rider.
JLo would have made it if not broken, or at lease it would have been a good fight. the Hondas were off. Marquez was wobbling all over the place. Bradl was just a number. Ducati needs to get their .... together. Crutchlow needs to exercise passing. I sould become a team manager or Ezpeleta

I got no expectations of ducati even making the podium this year.

Oh Yeah, poor Rossi, only 4th in Catalunya, we can ignore that he was hurting from an earlier crash too.

lol, you can always spin the results either way. There's really no excuse for Marc not beating Rossi (what his poor pinky finger? Give me a break). It's easily understandable that Cal was a bit nervous to pass the current champion who was also riding for Yamaha with a broken collarbone. It doesn't take pressure from Corporate Yamaha for a rider to be afraid of being portrayed as a .... for causing the championship leader who is riding with a broken bone already to crash, especially when you ride for the same factory.

But even if you put a spin on why those two riders didn't succeed in besting The Doctor, there is absolutely zero reason whatsoever why Dani didn't absolutely wipe the floor with Rossi, assuming of course that the "old man" is no good and only wins because he has the best machines and people behind him, ect ect blah blah blah.

The fact is no one wins a GP by accident. Some people have a few things fall in their favor at times (Jorge breaking his collarbone) but in reality these are the best riders in the world and there are always riders willing to step up into the fight when others fall down. Rossi won fair and square, purely by the effort put forth by both him and his team to get him and the bike running well together. Just like Jorge, Dani, Marc or anyone else who wins a GP. It's difficult, and anyone who wins deserves the respect due for what they've accomplished.

Agree.

Yet some individual hate one person so much that it does not matter, which I called blind hatred.

If he wins then "oh its because someone got hurt, or the bike had turbos, or fuking weather...or lunar eclipse had do something....but not sure why..."

Blah blah blah. All it matters is at that the point, you are given a situation given time and space...and you win or lose. I think its called "life"? :D

Rossi did win fair and square no matter other variable which is pointless.

he won ok great you drones can get off your knees now. so he won 1 let me say it again 1 race in what 2 + years. Jeez and my point is proven again blah blah blah when he wins the championship then we can talk about him. till then he isnt even in the top 3. so zip it.

fact is if i watched the race with no sound i could probably like the guy the announcers are sickening. if the drones didnt post everything like wow rossi was .0001 seconds better then .... he is back then i could probably like him. Of course that will never happen so i will continue to root against him. Makes it very fun too

I know MOTO GP needs him so the announcers are told to do what they do but enough already. he is a has been but at least he wasnt a never was

lol they talk about him because he's a nine time world champion, not because they're told to. Put any average person who knows MotoGP in that booth and of course they're going to talk about what Rossi is doing, that's just a total duuuuh. People don't worship him because he wears flashy colors, they worship him because of how popular he's made the sport with his success.

If people worship at the alter of his victories, you definitely worship at the alter of his defeats and are really no different.

i worship at neither his defeats nor his victories. hes a has been. let him go away like every other person who has tried to continue. ie bret favre.

if you think they arent told to talk about certain people constantly you are wrong. they are starting to do it with MM now.

9 times world champ you sound like a 72 dolphin fan what have you done for me lately.

your ambition outweighs your talent.

truer words cannot be said

lol, like I said, everything is spun in the negative direction by you. OF COURSE they are talking about MM, he's 20 years old, and breaking records like they're fine China! Who do you think they're gonna talk about? Seriously this is your argument? "Oh they're talking about the guy who is super popular and doing amazing things, someone must be telling them to." Really??? Gee sounds suspicious, must be a conspiracy.

and way to use Stoner's words in a moment of frustration. No one is claiming Rossi has had major success lately, obviously not with Ducati. We're simply saying no one wins 9 world titles by accident or without any skill, and no one wins a race by accident either. You talk as if he has to be either the best rider out there by a mile or he's worthless, while we're the ones who are talking sensibly trying to accurately debate and discuss his current skill level against arguably one of the most skillful MotoGP fields in a while.

The Rossi fanboys jump to one end of the spectrum saying he's a god, while you jump to the other end and say he's worthless. We invite you to join us in the middle and have a civil discussion that includes all the complicated variables that go into a riders success or failures.

You said it perfect.

I'm not a Rossi fanboy, Ducati team fanboy but a Race fanboy.

As a Ducati rider, I do hope for Ducati team to improve and win a championship in the future.

ROSSI!!!!!!! is BACK!!!!!! what a race!

:D Like Lazarus...

Much like football (ie Favre) you can't compare eras. But, when I watched him for the first time 13+ years ago he was the best motorcycle racer I have ever seen and was light years ahead of his competition. I've seen video of Agostini, Doohan, Elias, Rainey, etc... In my opinion, in his prime he could beat them all riding the same bike. He's clearly past his prime, but he can still win a GP race. I think that says a lot given the strength of the field. Like him or hate him, really, who the hell cares.

Although I admire Rossi for his achievements I have to say that Joey Dunlop was the best rider I have ever seen. I know the comparison to road & track racing may throw a spanner in the debate but Dunlop's victories at the TT were out of this world.

+1 Phenomenal rider...

+1 I don't know if I quite agree that guys getting above 30 are less willing to take risks and therefore they get slower, because then I look at guys like John McGuinness, Bruce Anstey, ect and have to think they'd give any MotoGP rider a run for their money based on what they do.
