all these guys on the grid are freaks of nature, to some extent. Rossi got his bike dialed in and maybe even his confidence now dialed in. lets let the riding do the talking. anyone good enough at these levels deserves total respect.

True, anyone this high up in motorcycle racing is a bit of a freak of nature, which is why I don't necessarily agree with the whole loss of hand eye coordination, ect from getting older. I also think that MotoGP racers would be less successful going to street racing, than street racers would be going to MotoGP. Guys like McGuinness are already on the edge on the street, imagine what they could do on a track with run-out areas lol

thanks for the post i like the spirit. i can debate the non qualifications of rossi any day of the week as a rider OVER THE LAST SAY 5 YEARS. JLO and Casey are both better riders and MM will be if he isnt already. Let the season continue.:D

As a pure fan of the sport and not having a true favorite rider, all i have to say is that JLO and CS will not be considered the best in the sport unless they eclipse Rossi's chamionship mark. Theres a reason Jorge's nickname is the same as a pop singer...and CS decided to walk away too early. Just my .02, I love watching these guys line up and race whether its MotoGP, WSBK, Road racing, or AMA.

I wouldve loved to see Jorge, Dani, or Casey (back on the Duc) win with the crap that Factory Ducati is putting on the track these last few years. Rossi didnt stop winning because hes a has been, he stopped winning because he made a bad decision and signed with a factory that cant get their .... together, after a shortened race season and STILL finishing 3rd in points. Im not a Rossi or Lorenzo fan, just saying I think Rossi is far from washed up.

JLO was coined here by soldier way back when. the announcers dont call him JLO

CS was the only rider to ever win on a ducati motogp bike. he is also at the time the only guy to have won on every single race track in moto gp.
Does that make him the best no but not to shabby either.

hes 20 points ahead of dovi and thats only cause he won the race. before he won he was 1 point ahead of dovi who is riding the same bike as rossi was last year. dovi has been ahead of rossi in qualifying times or .001 seconds behind. rossi is on the same bike as JLO and is 5th right now behind carl on tech 3.

finished 3rd in points where. last year stoner was 3rd after injury. this year rossi is 5th and he was this race out of 6th but he won. cudos to him

he could place last for all we know, but last sunday he was back! and for all you know he could podium in germany. so why the hate? viewership will be up for germany simply because of his win last week. that's good for motogp.

I guess I just can't understand all the animosity towards Rossi, it's like you hate him just for being a great rider which 9 championships prove he is. All the other riders listed are great too.

Because Rossi's loved by the crowds and the commentators, it seems to bug you. Rossi has brought a lot of attention to Moto GP, and he also seems like a really fun guy who enjoys what he's doing.

I'm not a rabid fan of motogp or any racing for that matter, I like watching a good race from time to time, but it's not a huge deal for me.

Hmmm, I seem to remember Loris Capirossi and Troy Baylis winning on Ducati MotoGP bikes in 2006. Also if my memory serves me correctly, I am pretty sure that when Rossi won at Indianapolis in 2008 he had won at every MotoGP track on the calendar that year.

If you are going to talk objectively about MotoGP, please get your facts right! How long did you say you have been watching MotoGP as it doesn't seem long with all of the incorrect statements you make.

ok lets get this straight i am talking world championships not a race win. bayliss never won a world championship on ducati motogp bike. second stoner was the first rider to win 1st place on ever single track on the circuit. if you win a game in the nfl are you the champ? im not talking podiums. anytime you want to show me when troy bayliss won the moto gp championship i will be happy to see it as i love the guy.

so if your going to talk objectively about moto gp please get YOUR facts straight. Your mistakes are many.

may 6 2012 was the first time someone has won (thats 1st place) at the time (i believe it has been done again) on every track on the moto gp calendar. (my mistake not a calendar year) the man who did it? Casey stoner.

Again how long have YOU BEEN WATCHING MOTO GP.

Cap finished 3rd in 2006. in 2006 bayliss raced 1 time for ducati yes he won hardly making him a world championship

On September 23rd in Japan Stoner secured Ducati’s FIRST MotoGP World Championship, becoming the first rider in more than 30 years to win the MotoGP title on a European made bike.

Finally my last fact for this guy in Australia who should know stoner better then me:

Returning for the final four rounds, Stoner adds one more win to his tally – fittingly enough – at Phillip Island to secure third in the overall standings. It meant Stoner would walk away from MotoGP (after just 115 starts in seven seasons) with 38 wins, 69 podiums and two title wins – a ratio of winning one in every three races.

i guess watching moto gp in Australia is different from what we watch here in the states right panigale S. guess your memory is failing time to buy some ginkgo biloba.
