Is it only me but it seems the speedometer is too high for the actual speed I am doing...Im thinking around 10-15% higher?..............maybe its a government conspiracy to slow us down:confused:

Hi Fabo,

I constantly monitor mine because i too am unsure at times, and curious.
However, i can not find any discernable speedo errror to the point where i believe it is actually correct.
The only way to really tell would be the measured/timed run on the freeway (5Kms traveled at a constant 100 Km/h takes exactly 3 mins) for the speedo to be correct.
I know my SFS is correct. Don't know about the 1199 yet?

Regards,
Brad

5% off.... if you want to confirm, find one of those signs with the radar that show you your speed compared to the actual speed limit.

The manual suggests a 5% increase over actual speed but from experience, depending on how fast you're going it fluctuates between 5-10%.

The fast you're going the higher the percentage.

best way to determine your actual speed is use a GPS (I use the compass app on my phone mounted where I can see it).

Also, change your drive ratio and the percentage changes even more.

Ive tested mine, it seem pretty accurate around town, but it is a steady 5 % off after 30 MPH or so.

my tests werent scientific, but my wife was driving her car sided my side and we compared notes the whole way via cell phone.
