I am torn between a Spidi Track wind replica and a Dainese Laguna Seca 4 suit. I have some dainese gear and spidi boots. (astars suit which is for sale here)

Only thing I wish the spidi had was shoulder sliders. From what I have read the spidi is better for taller guys like myself.

Anyone have input? Thanks

spidi suits are really small. make sure you go 2 sizes up when you order, unless you buy at a store, then of course you can check fitment. they are made for skinny italians.

I was around 230.

Is that you in the avatar at NYST?

but you fit in a EU 48??

Yes it is, T1

I am 6'2" 230 lbs athletic, and went with the Alpinestars GP-Tech V3 in 58. The new sizing is very good, and a lot better than before. With the older model I could barely tuck behind the screen, but the new one is super comfy and makes moving around a breeze!

I've tried both Spidi and Dainese and I found Alpinestars to be the best proportioned out of the three. Spidi was insanely tight in 58, and made me think they would only fit really lanky people. Dainese (Laguna and Misano 2) was very loose around the thighs and knees while fairly tight everywhere else.

It took me a long time to find a good fitting suit, but it was worth the wait.

My astars missile is 2 years old. Its decent. My only gripe is the inseam, its tight enough that it bothers my right knee pretty bad.

The closest place for me to try anything on is 6hrs

MotoD says the spidi give me a little more length compared to astars or dainese

For reference, I'm 5'10" and 173 lbs and I am pretty good in the Dainese Mugello size 50 with the back protector. It needs some breaking in, especially the shoulders, but it's fairly comfortable and fits right. I don't like a suit that's too loose in places but obviously it's not good to have one you can't move around while wearing. Plus I think that the airbag protection in the Mugello might be the best.

If you're wondering about sizing, why not order from somewhere that has a good return policy so that you can give it a shot without worrying about losing too much cash? Might be a bit tedious if it takes a couple of tries, but you're pretty lucky that way in the states. I had to order mine from Germany and potentially deal with customs if I had to send it back, which also would have cost a whole lot more..
