Wow. Incredible performance by the Ducs. Dovi clearly had the top end advantage on the finish straight, but turn 1 was very noticeably giving him fits (consistently running wide). I'm curious as to whether the winglets counteract tip-in inertia when coming down from 210+ mph speeds. The Ducs looked very planted and agile on most other track segments.

I think he was trying to break at the last minute and was carrying too much speed.

Ducati has a winning bike, now we need Stoner back on a Duc, poor Dovi looked like he was in un-charted waters to whole race. Hopefully he can grow into that ride because the GP15's are BAD FAST.

Dovi struggled with edge grip at the end of the race, but set his fastest lap on the final lap. He's good to go. Ducati doesnt need Stoner back.

It's a bit early to declare the GP15 a winning bike. We need to see it perform on a day when the Hondas actually show up.

That said if the winglets are a significant part of the bike's straight line stability/speed I wonder how long it will take the other factory teams to copy them.

Dovi and Iannone both ran a great race. I wonder what's going through Crutchlow's head about now.

The GP15 is definitely looking like it has serious potential. If Ducati can tag on another podium, or preferably a win, in the next race then they may have a real chance this season. Very impressive work by Gigi and the entire Ducati team.

+1...Ducati need a rider than can compete with Rossi and Marquez, they have the bike, unfortunately I don't think Dovi is it, he couldn't win on the Honda when it was the best bike in the paddock. He may win races but I don't think he will take the championship for Ducati, hopefully I am wrong but time will tell.

What an amazing race! I am a bit confused 'cause german commentators on TV speculated about changes in the rules for "open" bikes (obviously being shocked about Ducati's performance on the straight line).

Well they should definitely get rid of the open class benefits for Ducati. There's no good reason now that Ducati gets a soft qualifying tire, extra fuel, and unlimited engines. The GP15 is a good bike and I'd like to see Ducati celebrating success while playing under the same rules as everyone else.

Only if someone could now post this race on here for all to watch….
Nonetheless congrats to Rossi and the Ducs..
