Massive crash. Taken to hospital for concussion and dislocated right shoulder but no serious injuries, fortunately it looks like he will be ok.

On a related matter, I wonder if Shakey Brynes race days are over, his injuries are fairly substantial ?

Biggest high-side I can recall ever seeing. Fast too...just gnarly altogether. Total rocket launch to rag doll. I thought he was way more injured.

Glad he's alright. The faster GP bikes get, the sketchier and sketchier that crest becomes.

Good to see Iannone crushing again. I hope he gets a decent ride next year. Must feel great for him to stick these results in the face of Suzuki knowing he's on his way out.

Hoping for a good race. So far looks promising. I don't mind if Marquez wins another one, but I want to see him actually fight for it.

Yes hell of a crash.

Iannone has quite a talent for riding bikes hope get's to stay on something competitive and not just be involved in development work like it's been with Ducati and then Suzuki and onto Aprilia to do the same. I thought he should have stayed on the Ducati at the time but no one listens to me :)

DovI had an engine give up the ghost Red flag it was leaking oil and on fire

marc had a low side- situation normal

Glad Pirro is ok thats so fast

Where did that happen, just after the pit lane exit ?

Ducati Test Team rider Michele Pirro suffered a big crash in FP2 at the Gran Premio d'Italia Oakley, losing control at the end of the long main straight at Mugello and highsiding into the gravel. The session was Red Flagged and the Italian received medical attention trackside.

Pirro also posted on Facebook, saying, "I played a joker today! A bit battered and bruised but I'm tough."

there are videos on youtube of the crash by now I'm sure.

Looked like the crest caused a violent shake that could have moved the pucks which in turn caused him to pump the brakes. At nearly 200mph I'd guess going from zero front brake to full front brake is nearly impossible to modulate .
