Has any one purchased chain and sproket kits from Sproketcenter? Would be nice to hear opinions. I am looking at 520 chain and superhighway alloy sprockets for 377 $ or so. Also wondering if alloy sprockets hold good compared to steel?

FWIW, I've bought all of my 520 chains and sprockets (hard anodized aluminum) from there for every Ducati I've owned, and never had any issues.

you're gonna get more positive reviews than negative ones about SC. A lot more. I got no complaints. I went with the Superlite quick-change steel sprocket.

Sounds good guys what I needed to hear :) gonna go with anodized alum stock 15 front and plus 2 in the rear. Need a bit lower 3rd gear for chuckwalla. Any pictures for color combinations sprocket/carrier/chain? Also which chain did you get did 520 rev 3 or the heavy duty?

Ive also used Sprocket Center a few times. They know their stuff and have great customer service.

Great guys over at SC. Ordered a 520 conversion kit online with the superlite steel rear sprocket.

Needed the kit in a rush and the guys over at SC set up for me to pick up the kit from their huntington beach warehouse the next day.

Awesome service and quality is legit.

What kind of chain did you guys go for in the kit the race one or the heavy duty ?

Heavy duty on my bikes as I find myself on extended rides at times... Decision was more about comfort than performance. When I purchase a dedicated track machine, I will begin to use 520.

7076 aluminum, sometimes called Ergal, is essentially as tough as steel, but weighs very little in comparison. by converting my entire rear drive to aluminum, I saved pounds of weight.

there are plenty of stories out there about people who have run aluminum sprockets and ran into very premature wear. BUT, there are always two consistent factors:
- misaligned chain
- the sprocket was CHEAP and not made of 7076 aluminum.

The Panigale is a very lightweight bike. Unless you weigh like 300lbs+, 520 should be just fine.
