I had my 1299 at the dealer for about a month. During that time I was commuting on my ninja 650. I got my 1299 back (yay!). I stalled it once and I had to go back to neutral before I could restart it. Fortunatly this happened at a convenient spot. Does it have to be in neutral to start? I swear before I could just restart it in whatever gear I was in while continuing to roll down the road. Am I remembering wrong or is something up with the bike?
Thanks!

My V4 has a micro switch attached to the underside of the clutch master cylinder that tells the bike when the clutch is disengaged and it’s therefore safe to start if still in gear.

I assume that 1299 uses the same principle (probably the same master cylinder) in which case you should check that the switch has not come loose or is faulty.
