Stock 1199s wheels question...

Im not sure if this has been asked in the past...would I be able to remove the red rings around the stock wheels or are they painted on? I would much rather go with a solid black look instead. Thank you!

It's just a vinyl sticker, heat it with a hair dryer and it will just peel off..

the ones on mine were paint/powder... not a sticker

I have a base, and pin striped them red. Then I got new wheels (forged mags), and tried them without the stripe. I ended up striping them because I think it looks much better, but definitely a preference thing.

no, never tried... the "marchesini" decal was definitely a sticker but not the stripe.

What do you mean a preference thing? The manual clearly states those are worth 5hp each.

The rims I had were off a 2014 "S"... it is possible that the older ones had red sticker stripes

As is the white paint. They didn't tell you!? The white ones have 205 bhp.

It is a way for ducati to track your speed..
