112 db wow. That confirms my initial impression of the 15R when we fired it up. I couldn't believe it got by DOT/EPA requirements as loud as it is. Do you know what the Akra db level is?

The R has the homologated Akra, same as the SL. I can't imagine it's too disimilar to the race Akra with DB inserts.

I can tell you that the 2014 R with Akra EVO system (straight through) with the DB inserts was 109 db at the same track.

But as I said, in the UK they acknowledge it's a loud bike and the standard testing method is spurious, push for a ride by and you should be fine......... on a 102 db limit track day

Luckily we don't worry about sound level at my local tracks. Laguna Seca would be a problem however.

I'm restarting this conversation. Because of work I still have not gone to a track day on the 1299. Laguna Seca track day is in the 26/27 of August. I really love this track. Is any one here planning on going?

I ran my 1299 at Laguna in April. Stock exhaust, no problem. I was worried at first and gradually eased into it throughout the day. Last couple of sessions I was full throttle, letting it rev and didn't get popped once. This was a Keigwins day.

Im going. And Im bringing the Honda. No fricken way either Duc is going to pass. Personally, its too loud. I know, grow a set. I get it. The ....... bike scares people. Its not only loud but it sounds like it wants to kill something.
