OK...what's the trick to getting the stock canister off? Last night I couldn't resist at least hearing my new exhaust and figured i'd throw it on to hear it and then put the stock back until my break in was done, and of course the stock exhaust didn't want to come off. Got the rear outlet off the flange enough to be able to theoretically pull it back but the front wouldn't even allow me to work it back and forth to loosen it to work it rearward. Rubber mallet/block of wood and brute force? Just wiggle more and it will come loose? Working on the Ducati rear stand which feels like the bike is going to slide off at any point so maybe I should take it off that so I can get a little move violent with my shimmy?
And...it comes out so hard, I'm now concerned about getting the new one in.
Hate to have to loosen header nuts as more than half of them look pretty buried.
This guy makes it look ridiculously easy...drops right out practically. He spends more time explaining fairing removal than the exhaust itself.
Thanks,
-John
