On a different note, i have a stock 1299S slipon for sale
 
I just picked up a 2013 1199 base, can i get an explanation on what this whole process is? haha
A:
take exhaust off bike, ship to me, get back, mount on bike.

B:
take cans off bike, cut open, curse, remove cats, curse, swear,sweat, remove other parts, bleed, get it welded, make screens, install screens, put together, mount on bike.
 
Is A the easier option? haha im right over in Charlotte NC

Just stumbled on this exhaust option, are you still doing this? And I went over most pages (skipped a few in the middle), are you able to make the new ends black yet? Very interested in doing this if both answers are yes! Thanks.

Apologies for the laziness with not reading all 19 pages, but does coring the exhaust give essentially all of the power improvements when compared to a full exhaust? Like will Akra slip-ons or an Akra full exhaust produce that much higher numbers on the dyno?

I've heard that the stock headers flow quite well. I understand that the full Akra will have some weight savings with it.

Coring the mufflers will give comparable power to slip ons.

Full header back with larger runners will net more peak power.

both will take out the power dip in the mid range. As always, best power and mpg you would want to properly tune your engine on a dyno to get the most out of it.

I will be happy to deal with him again should the occasion ever arise.
 
I have a stock exhaust for sale if anyone doesnt want to mess around with their own! it was removed off the bike when it was new
