Hi Phil,

1st thing is cracking job you've done here, not only with your product but the customer base service you're providing. Many happy folk with pissed neighbors....well done!

Being I'm from the UK, i don't think its financially viable for me to ship them over, and then ship them back. Too many contributing factors and most of all, i wont be able to ride!

I'm fortunate enough to have the ability to do all the work myself

I do have a few questions if you wouldn't mind answering. This wouldn't be the 1st exhaust I've cut up to remove cats from, but its certainly the newest one I've done therefore you're the only true reliable source of information!.

I'm fortunate enough to have the ability to do all the work myself, but if it goes wrong there is no 2nd hand exhaust on the market yet. and that makes my bike an expensive paperweight!

1. How do the outer covers come off? and do you re-use the original covers?

2. what material is the exhaust body, your photos looks to be mild steel and welded using a Mig welder?

Regards

James

The covers are just held by the 2 bolts that keep the top hangers on each side.

Material is 304SS or similar, bet to be welded with 308 and tri-mix with back purge

Good luck!

Hey phil we want to buy your exhaust does this mean we have to pull hers out then send you the stock can?

any pics of a 1299 exhaust done?

Just wanted to make sure I read everything right. The cost of getting the 1299s done is $550 + shipping right?

If so I'll be looking for a spare set to get then send them your way in the near future. I'm really wanting something that sounds meaner then stock but not wanting to shell out $3000 just for slip ons.

Sounds good, now just have to be on the lookout for some stock ones for the '15 1299 S

Is the Exhaust louder then the sc-project?

hell no!!!

i mean, i can make one as loud the SC, but in my humble opinion, you wouldn't want that.

the one in the "panigale sound from hell" and the dragon US129 vid is pretty close though.

however, in Germany - forget it ... Polizei and TÃœV will be all over your ass.

Or are you stationed there running US plates?

Cheers,

Phil

No no
Im running a eu plate but the police isnt that active here :D
And for a 20€ fine its worth.
Greetings
