Stop and Go Temps 1299S

Mine got to 107 C = 225 F. Pretty hot as it wasn't even that warm out. Gotta see if I have the proper amount of coolant in there. My 1199s never went past 104C. Fans would kick in and it would cool down, the 1299 seems like it stays at 107 until I get moving again.

hmmm, fans kick in at 220 F? would it be worth it to reprogram the fan at, say 200 F? is that even feasible??

Mine pee'd yesterday when I got home. Temps hit 220 and wouldn't go back down. As soon as I pulled into the garage, she pee'd coolant.

Yeah that's about right. Mine gets warm as well especially around stop and go. My 1199 and previous models where the same till I replaced the stock exhaust with some termi's. Ducati run hot.

My Kawasaki 300X has an oil thermostat set from the factory at 275 F (!) As long as you're running a good synthetic oil I don't think it's a major problem, but conventional dino juice degrades rapidly above 250 F

It's our battery.. We have a Yuasa YTZ7S which has only 120 cold cranking amps' entirely inadequate for a 1200+ cc engine!

main reason why I went lithium. could have saved even more weight with a 120 CCA lithium, but I went with the biggest lithium that would fit, and now have twice the CCA power. She fires right up :)

Which one did you install? They work great but overdischarge them and they die quick

my Lithium battery should be arriving soon, as well. I found one that's within 1 or 2 mm in each dimension and has triple the CCA's and weighs 2.4 lbs. I could have gone lighter, but there was only .5 lb difference and I'd rather have the power to crank the bike over than the inconsequential weight difference. I got the Antigravity AG 1201, 360 CCA, 2lb 4oz. Along with the Optimate LFP 4s charger. Done deal

Cheers
