Hi All-
Question for other SF owners. When going at speed - somewhere from 80-90+ mph, I notice that my mirror stalks physically move in from the wind pushing at it. It happens to both sides but noticeably worse on the left hand side. When this happens, I have to continually use my thumb and apply pressure to swing it back out a bit. And this game continues on through the whole ride. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Would it be possible for anyone to tell me if they have some sort of washer or something under the mirror stalk, right before the bracket? For me, I only have the bolt, the mirror stalk, and then it touches directly onto the bracket. I'm thinking I might be missing a washer of some sort to so that this doesn't happen.

Thoughts?

Mine did not have a washer between the stalk and bracket either. I went with bar end mirrors straight away so cannot say mine did the same

Thanks for the help! Now I wonder if maybe it's not torqued down enough? It feels so tight already, hard to imagine tightening it further and breaking not the bolt.

It probably wouldn't hurt to put one of those star washers under there. Finding one of the correct OD to be smaller than the OD of the stalk and have the right size bolt hole may be an issue though

It'll be easier to find a pair of new CRG Arrow mirrors
Agree...1st day mine came home, it was not even cold yet and I replaced the stock rabbit ears with CRG Arrows. Much better from aesthetics and functionality aspect. I can actually see what is behind be now.

Oh, what did you use to cap the holes when you switched to bar end mirrors?
I used the a black spacer from a tv wall mount..they give you a bunch to match screw length and width. The fit perfectly.

Same here. Tested to 177 with no issue. Had the LS on previous bike, and I loved the folding feature, but they would still flip over 140.

I like the folding option so when I'm lane splitting I can squeeze through tighter spaces in traffic. I've had the CRG Arrows on a few bikes and never had a problem with them moving at high speed. The SFV4 has only seen about 150mph since purchased, but I also have them installed on my 2017 1299s and that bike has been past 180 many times and mirrors never moved.

I re-torqued the bolts with thread locker. Haven't moved since. And a friendly reminder about the right side reverse thread.
