I'm asking because there is likely little tolerance for too much or too little.
Any comments from the experts? I'll only ask once, I promise.
Reports on this site and others tend towards 3 quarts & 2 ounces ... to 3 quarts & 4 ounces.
All things being equal, I have to assume the reduced amount is due to the inevitable residual oil, even after an overnight of draining.
So, since even 4 ounces is only around a 1/10 of a litre my plan is as follows:
1. Drain the bike overnight, starting with a warm engine.
2. Fill with 3 litres and check the level (cold)
3. if it's at least halfway up the sightglass... I stop. If not, I add an ounce or two.
Thoughts / comments appreciated. Mahalo!

- Manual says 3.4 litres total oil capacity
- That's the same as 3.6 quarts or 3 quarts and 19 ounces.
