SuperBike vs SuperCar

Oh how I'd love for these things to be evaluated fairly n evenly but too many variables to make it a fair comparison. Put someone like marquez or better yet bayliss on the bike and then put a pro driver, not necessarily f1 but anyone worthy of mentioning n then the comparison would be a little more fair. All things considered, still pretty cool to see in action though.

Cars are faster. Bikes are limited by corner speed.
You can build a race car that would crush a MotoGP bike and be a lot cheaper than the car they used in this video.
But they are comparing street legal to street legal. You can buy much a faster car than the one they used but the price easily approaches $1M USD.

Great thing (or problem) with bikes is the fairly small difference between what we can buy and literally the best made if we compare lap times. With cars, your have to spend a lot of money to get something that performs like a real race car. There is a much larger gap between normally priced and street legal to what's possible.

Are you howling at the moon again doulde0;)

Maybe The Stig would be able to pedal that car faster:)

Some say, that he has a mortal fear of escalators.
And that he only breathes once per lap.
Others believe, his parents were a cross between a cat and Batman.
We only know of him as "The Stig"

That was great Stw.

I wonder how that bike would go with the apalling dip in the dodgy power curve sorted out.
Especially with those redundant Termi's being replaced with the Akro's.
Not to mention the crappy Ohlins it comes with stock, that have to be totally re-designed:eek:

Track is completely in the bikes favor. Add a few tight off camber turns. And get a pick axe or pulaski tool and knock some potholes into the trail braking areas and the car catches up some more. But the bike beats the car so bad at this track, it wouldn't matter if you had 2 Stigs in the car.

I don't think anything with a liscense plate and the ability to clear a speed bump will keep up with a bike. Except for bumpy twisty tracks like the Nurinburgring (sp?) North Course.

Cars are quick in rough sections that require trail braiking. A bike just can't turn and brake at the same time too well. And a car requires a ton less skill as is more forgiving.

Real race cars with wings and aero advantages, will absolutely crush a bike. But they aren't really drivable on the street.
