Just went for a quick half day blast, and on the route towards todnau near schulchsee I heard something that sounded really incredible approaching. Then it passed me, the orange really does glow in the sun!

If you are on this forum, sick bike - congratulations! Same goes for the other lucky ones!

Glad I had a crowd of people checking my bike when fuelling up, felt a little less inferior :)
 
I have the 1199s, can't complain at all really :)

Indeed there are plenty of surprises in the blackforest! Fantastic riding to be had there...
 
I'm so jealous, makes me remember my ride across the alps to Italy.
We are fortunate to have great rides in the US as well.
 
I used to live in Grafenau which is about 33km from the "center" of the Black Forest.

Freudenstadt is the town which lies in the center of the German Black Forest IMO.

Man I miss living there a little bit!
 
Hehe :) sadly I haven't yet managed the art of taking pictures when riding, but can try!
 
The area truly is stunning. Switzerland may have some very nice roads but way too many controls. Have got a nice little loop I can now do from home. Would be there again today but now in the mountains on my downhill bike :)
