Beware of the Very Questionable Reliability.
what does that mean???

That's pretty darn self explanatory.
......... Some, but not every car. My 1200-HP street car doesn't do that, but it has an adequate cooling system. My Z06 or Shelby GT500 don't do it either, with factory cooling systems - in 110* weather!
There's a reason Ducati is known as the "Italian Harley"

Really dig the honest feedback of the OP. I would never have bought the Panigale for a daily. It's just too much bike for something to commute on.
My 1299 is hot, noisy, vibrates like crazy and it get uncomfortable after a few hours of riding it hard, but it's my therapeutic toy.
It really depends on a individual's specific needs for what a bike can do or what you intend to use the bike for.
Mine does exactly what I expect it to do, thrill and excite everytime I get on and ride.

But my Harleys are reliable.....
There was a brand reliability survey done somewhere (I can't remember where) but Yamaha was at the top and BMW at the bottom. Harley was toward the bottom and Ducati one step above. Anybody else see this survey?
Not to be a dick but if your new vehicles can't idle in 100+ degree heat you need to take them in for inspection. I live in Vegas and I wrench on cars. You can leave any factory vehicle (with the stock cooling system) in this heat with no issues. My 1199 has seen 225+ temps in traffic and I've had no issues aside from the inner thigh heat. Also, the test ride should not be about how the bike is mechanically reacting but how you're emotionally reacting to the bike. That being said, it looks like this bike is not meant for you (no problem there). Just don't blame the bike for not meeting your expectations.
Hmmmm...whenever someone talks about a "1200 hp street car" it's inevitable said person is a Supra or vette owner, probably lives in Texas (straight, flat, boring roads), and is middle aged with a paunch
Probably not buying a 1299 anytime soon, back to gixxer.com

I'm a big car freak travel to all the high end factories and test the finest cars on the planet, 1200 (controllable Hp is like a wet dream for me) even a McLaren can't get near 1200 hp, my bespoke Aston with a hand built engine hardly pushes 600 Hp
I think we need to meet up because I need to meet your tuner
