thinking about upgrade the suspensions on the bike,
My guess is that any 11xx-12xx onhlins rear will be compatible, right?

for front, thinking about andreani inserts...

any thoughts?

been quoted 2.000eur for front andreani inserts and ohnlins ttx at the back, final price installing and set up included.

guy said he has several clients with base v4 and V2, that installed and are really happy, that the suspension is the worst part of both bikes....

what do you think?

Finally bite the bullet and installed the andreani fork inserts and the ttx.

couldn’t try it much yet, but have to say that now it does not bounce on the imperfections..
The back seems perfect, but have a doubt about the front.

I think I have too much fork travel now, (have to measure it)

can anyone tell me what’s the fork travel we should have?

What are the two points you are measuring from? Check the manual for the total fork travel which should be listed in there. I'd be surprised if it was over 120mm which would mean your bottom out is 20mm up from where the tube meets the axel holder/brake caliber bracket...I forget what it's called.

The shiny part of the fork tube is 125mm on my V4S and that is with preload maxed out. I need to get stiffer springs...but anyway.

I'm surprised they didn't set preload up with you on the bike if they installed the cartridges. Its very likely you just need to back off the preload a bit.

Looks like the andreani gives 10mm more travel than stock, to 130mm

still have to find this extra 10mm to 140...

There isn't any extra to find. All of the shiny part of the tube isn't the travel. If you have 140mm of exposed fork and the travel is 130mm, 10mm up from is the limit. So if the travel indicator gets close to 10mm from the bottom, you need to adjust your suspension so you don't bottom out.

Right now I have 125mm of exposed fork and my travel is 120mm. 5mm up from bottom is my limit.

Been trying to measure a bit more..
Static sag is 127mm on the front and 62 on the back (from inside the hub to the Italian flag)
Could measure the back with me on the bike , and went down to 59,5, so rider sag in the back is 25mm, which I believe is correct.

could not measure in the front... will try to find someone to help me measure it..
