I know there's been many threads on tail tidies, etc but just wanted to take a few mins to show off mine!!! I've always thought the big space ship on the back needed to go and put the Evotech tidy on but it still didn't do it for me. Then I came across TBOT's thread about an integrated brake/indicator/tail light and that was it for me. Having exchanged a few emails with TBOT and his man STW we got it sorted and the pics below show the result - I'm over the moon with it. And if anybody is concerned about sending money to TBOT you need NOT worry. I won't tell you what this guy did for me but he went WAY over what he needed to have done to sort me out. Huge thanks to TBOT and STW for getting me the nicest ... on the roads!!

Awesome, thats what im going to do as well! Now just get in touch with Bucci and the rear cover piece.

Also, how long would you say it took for the whole transaction with TBOT and STW? Im intrusted in doing this soon!

Once you let them know which fender eliminator you want, pay via paypal we were all done and dusted in less than two weeks for sure. The best 1199 mod out there IMHO.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have the same setup and I haven't regretted it at all. I do feel that the Competition Werkes FE could be of better quality but compared to anything else out there it's hands down my favorite.

And Tbot is the man. Extremely helpful to say the least! He helped me out significantly.

Yeah I have the same setup, it's great and I finally got it installed BUT any bit of sunlight and you can't see the blinkers at all lol. IMO the led signal strip should be as strong as the stop light.

Might not be a problem to all, but just an FYI. It great at night and super easy install.

i can't believe no one has simply velcro'ed the plate 90 deg down the middle of the tail....hell you can even stick led right above it.

I agree but when you have a faulty dash like mine the RHS indicators dont work anyway!?!?!?! :D

Now all you need is to change that hideous windscreen in front!! HAHAHA i will take a pic of mine once i get it out, haven't had the time to do my mods, but should be good in about a week

It doesn't get any better than the tail on the 1199! My wife calls it "The .....!"

I really like the way this looks but after seeing how dim the blinkers are I decided to go the evotech and euro blinker route. I would rather my blinkers be visible and people know what I am doing and have that little extra safety over a completely clean tail, even though it looks amazing. If they ever come out with a setup like CustomLED has I'll be the first in line.

Don't you have regulations to determine the size of the number plate itself?
We have strict size limits here in the UK which (legally) would prevent us from mounting the plate in that position. Many people ignore the regs and fit smaller plates, but I prefer to limit the number of reasons to be pulled over - speed, noise, and front wheel at 45 degrees vertical are enough :D.

Also do you have any problems with stones and stuff grit-blasting your tail light lenses?

The plate on my bike came straight from the DMV no changes made - standard Ca size (and most of the US for that matter). The stone chips were a concern and I covered the underneath with remnants of 3M coverings that I got from the tankslapper.biz I've just accepted that ill get a few marks and dings. The price I pay for an awesome look!!

Sorry to hijack I just didnt wanna open another thread and piss off some local forum posters.

Big props to Tbot and STW. It took about 2 hours total for install and was somewhat simple.

Here is pics of the bike, Ive got the side blinkers on too.

Aside from actual ability to see something in those mirrors versus stock....are they less prone to vibration? Can you see more clearly in them than the stock ones (when you can actually see something besides your shoulders on the stock ones)?
And how much trouble is it being to adjust looking down away from the road towards to bar ends as opposed to just glancing at the stock mirrors.
I'm thinking about swapping out my mirrors for a similar mirror/signal setup. But those two points give me pause regarding it.
Would like to hear an initial impression.
