T-Rex Sliders saved me $10K !!!

The only thing I'm confused is about is the lack of S model :D .

For what? That tells you I absolutely know what I want. It has nothing im intrigued by (that much).

I may get an "R" in a yr or 2, but only if and when they have a better paint scheme. White decals look so cheap.

A Tri R or Corse R would be sexy.

AND I'D STILL PUT T-REX SLIDERS ON IT :D

but the sliders take away from the lines of the bike ;)

great update. glad they worked!

Take away from what lines?? These sliders are the most attractive (real) sliders IMO.

if you remove the slider can you update us if any of the bolts got tweaked and any resulting case damage and/or clutch cover damage?

thx in advance

and you'll need to find some left 4-leaf clover turns man!

I'm having my T-Rex slider kit fitted now so this is exactly what I wanted to hear. Laying the bike down and being able to ride away and fix quickly, for minimum cost, is exactly why I bought these. Lets face it, it is possible to low side on the street ;) and an insurance company won't screw up your premium for a sub $1000 claim but a write off will be a black mark against you (in Australia anyway).

please elaborate

Yeah I think there's a great team of guys at T-Rex Racing :).

My pipe covers were Ceramic Coated at home (baked in oven and all) and holds up believe it or not...You like?

Not to go off your slider topic but would you mind telling us about this DIY coating that you baked your exhaust canisters in the oven with? Lol

What was the product you applied and take us thru the steps if you don't mind? Did you only do the cans and what is it supposed to be for? Thanks!

Thanks for volunteering for the real world testing :D

I've got these mounted and while I hope to not need them, it's great to know they work. I agree with Gunny, you should send the pictures and report to T-Rex with the link to this thread, they should give you replacements for the great press you've given them. They also may want to analyze the damaged parts for continual product improvement.

From the looks of your tail section, it appears that the R&G carbon fiber tank and tail sliders would also be a good investment. I just wish they didn't look like melanomas on the gorgeous Pani body!

I agree with your earlier review that the left slider has a big expanse of plastic that from the back looks barren. Here is my reflective sticker dress-up solution:

Gunny, you making fun of my DIY solution. lol

It is purely for looks and not mean to battle any heat issues. I will cover the process in another thread, thanks :).
