I have these sliders fitted and after seeing this thread am glad that I got them. They seem to have held up well.

What track were you at?

I was actually at my Rider Instructor Course getting certified :).

well this happened at the end of the day while we were allowed to having a spirited ride around the course.

... don't feel too bad about it because the instructor went down on a cbr 250 weeks before lol.

Not saying they aren't a good idea, etc. but that giant plastic thing with the Dainese logo is on the left side? I was already cringing at the clutch cover piece, but that thing on the left is huge!

Yes, it's pretty big compared to the Sato and Rizoma stuff, but this is clearly proven to work and I'm not so sure the others would protect as well. In this case I'll take function over form. Plus, it looks better on the bike and the sticker matches my gear at least.

+1 smart move. function over from...they really don't look that bad and they WORK ! those cute lil sliders won't protect anything. I even had the CF DP Clutch cover and did away with it.

Got the T-rex sliders, look good and solid BUT if you have a 2012, you will never ever be able to check your oil level again...

+1 i had that problem, no gap existed to shine a light and see oil level. i busted out the dremel, cut a hole in fairing similar to 2013 ones. used red paint pen to cover up the unfinished white sides in the cutout. problem solved. beats removign fairing every time i want to check oil

good idea! PICs if you can please, thx

Absolutely. Beats takig the entire fairing out just to check the oil. The other option is getting a 213 fairing. I rather spend the $$$ on performance mods

Haha......to each his own. Notice how clean my oil sight window is. The large gap even allows me to get my hand in there and keep the sight window clean...not to mention better ventilation and cooler engine.
