Nah, just with all of this "quirkiness" and being it is my first time using this set-up I just simply want to make sure that it is even working properly...

So what's the actual difference between t800 and the termi upmaps from the 1199 days? Or is it the same .....

I know 1199's you could install the upmaps yourself but they changed that to dealer only for the 1299's. Termi full system upmap says racing evo on the dash. Slipon just says racing or evo. I forget which one but it's just one of them.

Although I have an 899, I’ve used the t-800 and did not get the “race” display upon start up. I contacted Termi about it, they’re response was that it was the “race” or “race evo” was not present on that model.

Thanks for the info! I don’t think anyone has been able to answer this question relating specifically to a 2012 1199S like I have. I guess no one is runnng this their 1199??

On a side note Pova, does the DTC(Ducati Trouble Code) part of the T800 work/function for you on your 899? Mine does not…. I’m less than impressed with this set-up, especially considering the $400+ price tag of it. It seems quirky and leaves out some of the supposed features.

Only functions available are loading maps and the dashboard. For sure it is definitely basic for the cost. But I’m guessing termi didn’t put much effort into the development being unsure how unpopular or popular the t-800 would be. But it would be nice if they revised it for the first gen panigales to have the options the newer ones have. I’ve personally not had any issues with the software loading, but have had a hardware issue. If I don’t position the cable coming out of t800 into the connection on the bike just right it won’t connect. I’m assuming a bad soldered wire in the unit.

Hi John,
I too lost the 'Racing' logo at start up with T800.

I only have slip ons, after installing the T800 slip on map for my 1199 S I lost the start up logo.
I installed twice - same.
I both times had the message ' successfully installed'
I checked with the upmap people & they confirmed its only the factory maps that give the logo.

( could be something to do with litigation?)
Cheers

Hi,

Following up on this topic as I also have an 1199s from 2013. I installed the Termi slip ons (D155), changed the air filter and updated the ECU with the UpMap T800 for the slip on. Upmap install went smooth, but upon start the dash doesn't say 'Racing'. Reached out to UpMap and I'm awaiting more info from them.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one scratching my head as why everyone's dash says 'Racing' or 'Racing Evo' but not 1199 owners?

Thanks,
Greg

Those asking the question about the dash after install, did you already have the upmap installed via key nad DDS previously? As in, did the dash say racing or racing evo prior to installing the T800?

Initially, mine did say “Racing Evo” as I purchased it second hand and it has the full Termignoni race system on it. I unfortunately lost that when I used Melcodiag on the bike for resetting oil change intervals. There is a warning/disclaimer now that states if you have the DUCATI Up-Map installed that you need to uninstall it before connecting to the bike with Melcodiag.

Must mention, the previous owner did not give me(or have) the Ducati Up-Map USB. I can’t say for certain if that disclaimer was there when I downloaded the software to my pc….

Anyways, this is how/why I ended up going the T800 route, so I could get a “tune” put back into the bike.

Thanks,
-John
