taking a panigale offroad on the snake

i saw this on a DOC FB page, definitely a nice save but his exaggeration to get his elbow down is definitely a poser status

I know the rider and he's no poser. He rides the bejesus out of this bike and knows his way around more than a few tracks in SoCal. .... does happen when we get carried away though and that particular stretch of road is known to bite - pardon the pun.

i think that website used "poser" just for the lack of a better word...

his line and BP seem reasonable for the run.

that turn is known for getting people off their bikes, be it dust, cracks, or intentionally put sand there. or just the distraction...

Its a very fun corner - pavement is pretty good, slight uphill, good sight through the line. I think its pretty well known but there have been a ton of people taking pictures and watching so the "Kodak courage" kicks in and people go in hotter than they're skill level allows. Good fun though.

Elbow down is not just for posing. In fact, to me it is that shrrrrk feeling on the elbow thats nice.
Great save by that guy. Kudos.

Every time I see one of RNickeyMouse's videos it reminds me that insurance companies pay out for that crap but lowside on a track and you're on your own.

not always. some insurance do pay for non-competitive (timed) track days.
