Tank Bag on the V4

Hey guys (and gals) does anyone have a photos of your tank bag, tail bag or other means to carry stuff on your V4? I'm looking for ideas. Next month I'm going to Road Atlanta for an STT track day. The next morning we're riding up to the mountains near Fontana, NC for some wonderful street riding and I really would prefer not carrying everything on my back.

Tank Bag

Hi - I use my V4S as a daily driver, so as much as people give me grief about a tank bag - I do use one. This is the one that I'm currently using and do like - it's very simple but works well in my situation: SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock EVO Micro Tank Bag

You need a special ring for the bike since there aren't any mounting screws for it. If you want some pics, let me know, and I'll take a few.

I have one of these rear pillion seat bags for my 1199. I think much better than a tank bag and so easy to use.

I haven't got my Speciale V4 yet but was wondering does any one have one of these and does it still fit on the V4?

Did you order the ring from Germany or from a US company?

Great, I'm looking at the SW-MOTECH products, which tank ring did you purchase? They currently don't list one for the V4. I'm assuming you used the ring for the 1199/1299?? If you can easily upload some pics that would be great!

I have a Held Tenda tailbag. I was able to make it fit but had to use the passenger pillion to do so. If I can figure it out I'll post a photo later.

DucSyd, I have the same DP tail bag from my previous 1199 and it fits fine on my V4, there are areas to route the straps under the seat and everything, I'm glad I held on to it.

To sum up, what do I have to order via SW MoTech to get a tank ring and the tank bag compatible for the V4?

Is the Ducati tank bag also wit a ring or is it with straps? I really want something fixed on the tank ring.

you need the EVO tank ring from SW Motech, partnumber TRT.00.640.30001/B
you can than choose from plenty of bags, including some with electric connection (charging your phone, for instance)

The other option is the ION tank ring from SW Motech, but I am not a big fan of these, as they are bulkier and you only have 3 (non-electrical) bag options.

I haven't seen the Ducati bag yet...

I just ordered the small Ducati tail bag. I guess I will have to install the passenger seat to use it. Am going to try this because even the micro tank bag from SW-Motech does not allow me to get into enough of a tuck during those velocity "experiments". Work in progress. I have the large screen on the bike, but need to get lower than the tank bag allows.
