Question for the track guys

what does a tank extension do?

Help you from going forward during hard braking?

or hold you more to the rear help? I normally do the opposite, and try to be more forward for better turning.

or are They just for taller riders?

hope someone Can clear this doubt

Keeps you from sliding too far forward on deceleration, so it takes weight off of your arms, wrists and elbows during breaking and turn in. This gives you a lighter grip on the bars, enabling better dexterity and finesse going into and through the turn.

…..makes you less bunched up while turning

that is a very bad plan for turning in. You want to be rearward in the seat and we’ll balanced. If you’re skipping the back in you want to be forward but that’s an exception more than likely.

Thanks guys

maybe i should order one, and try it out

looking into the ducati performance tank support

kind of pricey, hope there was something similar aftermarket

Crazy expensive for what it is. Afixmoto makes tank extensions of assorted versions. There's also an aftermarket seat that has a built in extension. Mine is the one from Afix that increases height and extends out.

I have the Ducati performance tank extension on order. Will update how it feels/works.
