Tank Pads......

Started out with a DP pad which was a throw-in on the sale that lasted 2 months.

Went with Shifty's for less money, perfect fit and impeccable looks. Oh, almost forgot...it stays on the tank!

Dealer just gave up trying to install Tech Spec tank pads. Sending EM back to revzilla. Really like the look and the functionality. Anyone have any success with tank/knee pads?

Tried on wife's 899 (white) and they wouldn't stick either. Said the paint was open-cell.

Had really good success with Stompgrip on 848 EVO but haven't seen em for 1299.

It's DAY 1 with 1299 S so will have to keep searching.

been using stomp grip on my 1199 but the tank and everything was repainted with BASF paints to maybe that's the difference...

Need some help! Really like the TECHSPEC Tank Pads for knee grip and tank protection but had to send them back after my dealer couldn't get them to stick. Had really good luck with stompgrip on my 848 EVO but don't like the pattern they chose for the 1299. Anyone have any luck with tank pads (side and center) for the 1299?

Does anybody know of a US supplier of the carbon tank guards?
Shift-tech no longer manufactures this product.
