soo i had my full termi installed at the dealer and i took it home and it ran like crap real rich even worse starting. then i read the book and noticed that my dash never said ducati evo. I tried reload the upmap and i keep getting the map abort... anyone have any problems like this ?

So the dealer installed your full Termi system, saw that the map aborted and gave you the bike anyway!? Take it back and make sure your rip the service dept a new one!

no he installed it and it was fine. but i never noticed the ducati evo screen. The tech is a good friend of mine so i trust he did it right. im thinking my ecu or something got fried or maybe my map is corroded. just trying to find a way to wipe my ecu to try and reload map

There are basically 4 outcomes, Complete, Aborted, Not Compatible and Already Present. If you never noticed the Evo screen then chances are it was not successfully uploaded and they got something other than Completed? However, I'm told the Map is a one time thing and you'll need the Original UP-Map to remove whatever is already on the ECU before you can reload the Full system map.

take it to the dealer and let them worry about it. It seems unlikely it ever had the right map installed.

You have to load the original map back on then the map on the bike will be downloaded. Then just upload again.

Btw with terminal slipons you should see 'Racing' on the dash on startup.

With full system you should see 'Racing Evo'. If you don't see this then you don't have the full map on your bike.

+1. I am going through a similar instance with Ducati NA now. I have 2 bikes and the S/ABS was damaged in accident and the second a Tri-Colore has all my old exhaust, which is a full system, installed. The "ONE AND ONLY MAP" that comes with you full system is only good for one bike. if you wipe your ecu you may lose your permissions and have to pay a absurd fee, which is $459.00, to get a new plastic key fob to re-map for bike.

I feel for you but Ducati does not. I would think after purchasing 2 bikes and over 60K later I can't even get a new black plastic key to remap my Tri-Color that I own all the permissions from the original system.

Do like he says and more than 75% of the peeps here and take it to the dealer and let them fix it. Friend or no friend the bike can only have 4 modes for the map. Takes it, does not, aborted or malfunction. You paid for it now pitch a fit and make them make it right.

y'all gotta agree with me her guys right?

Maybe the dealer forgot to update the map for the slip-ons first, before he applied the update for the headers ?

You must remove the slip-on map and go to default USING THE SLIP ON MAP KEY. This stores the slip on permission, MAP, back on its original key. Then install the Manifold Map giving you full exhaust map.

1. Default screen standard greeting
2. Slip-on Screen Racing
3. Full Greeting with Pipe Map Installed Screen "Racing Evo"

i only got one upmap dongle are all the maps loaded on it? i need to find a way to reset the ecu =[

tech is trying to get in contact with NW service manager.

You need to take the map key you have and insert it where it goes. Once it goes it it will prompt you. You will know it is in default, stock, when you turn key and it does not say racing, for slip on, or racing evo for full system.

Good luck

yeah thats the problem i can't even get to that promt screen when you plug in the upmap.. it goes pretty much straight to abort

so we had Ducati warranty me a New Upmap dongle.... if that won't get it to connect we are moving to the BBS.

Recently bought the full system upmap key off eBay. Plugged it in and the dash stated, “Upmap Already Present.” Does this mean the usb key was previously used? Seller accepts returns, so not a big deal, but want to know what would cause the message.

I do not have another tune on the bike. No “racing” or “racing evo” message on startup.

Thanks

The maps are in your ECU, the usb dongle is just a switch that only can be used once to unlock the map in your ecu. Once unlocked you cannot unlock it, or use the dongle again.

Send it back its junk.

Ah I was under the impression that you could remove the tune from the bike it was originally loaded onto and once removed it could be loaded on another bike.
