Have a 1299s and just wondering if there is a big difference in sound between the termi slip ons and the akra. Also the akra blow to the front not sure how that will work out.

It's the Termignoni pipes that "blow to the front". I'll leave that one alone though.

And from what I have seen, there is a noticeable difference in sound between the 2. Maybe it's a quief vs a fart...

If you can, get the Akro pipes. There is never a compromise in the quality. Every bike I've owned, on which I put an Akro system, never gave me a hint of problems. The system always fit like a glove. I love my 1299S w/ a full Akro system.

Side note: I just bought a 2016 Ducati Monster 1200R. (No, I did not sell my 1299S) I ordered the Termi slip on system. Akro is not making a slip on for the 1200R. The Termi stuff must be made out of gold. Jeez it was expensive.

Peace and enjoy your bike. Highside49

There is not a big difference in sound between the Termi Slip on and the Stock exhaust. So if big booming bass sound is what you want, the Termi won't get your rocks off.

There is quite a difference between the Akra and the stock exhaust, though.

And don't forget, you can always have a certain someone on the forum core out your stock exhaust.

Who in sydney can core the stock ones out. Im happy with the performance for now. Im all about the sound.

Hi can you point me in the right direction. Do you know some one in sydney that can bore the stock ones.

I have not heard of anyone doing that in Sydney. Been on here for 4 years.

Splash out for the Akra full system. You will not be disappointed.

You could always post your mufflers to Phl and get him to do it.

To keep your bike on the road, you can buy my OEM mufflers and send them. LOL

I can't comment on the Temi system however I have an Akrapovic system on my 1299 track bike. Compared to my 1299S road bike, the Akra has a deeper sound and crackles between gear changes unlike the standard system on my 1299S.

Buy a stock muffler on eBay from someone in the US. Have it sent to Phl (also here in the states). Then have him ship to you when he's done coring it. Then pull yours off and put it up on eBay.

modded exhaust for 899/1199/1299 - more flow, more sound, less heat ---> mailto: [email protected]

more info HERE

Per MotoWheels and Bellissimoto, the new Termi front exit slip on is a much better flowing system than the old Termi and Akra.

I'm waiting to receive my 1299s Anniv edition, debating between completing the Akrap with headers for $2k, vs selling the Akrap Race slip-on Exhaust and getting the new Termis with the forward exist for around $3.8K. Any recommendations?
