Time for Pitbull trailer restraint? :)

Unfortunately my Tacoma is the primary transport to and from the track. On top of that, it's the 5' shortbed with the double cab so the rear wheel sits on the tailgate. The tailgate has already bowed in the middle from the weight and I've added the crossmembers inside from the TSB. I'm waiting for the MY22 Tundra and 4Runner before I decide to retire my Tacoma.

This has me concerned
I just purchased a tacoma shirt bed and rear wheel is at the tailgate

Def, get a reinforement plate. Mine is an 05 dbl cab with 280K miles so it's old but still getting the job done and has been hauling my motos to and from the track since 2005. I took the tailgate to a fab shop in the Bay Area. They removed the plastic cover and welded some beams on the inside. As you can see in this thread, once the plastic cover is removed, it has some support beams but not enough.

You are talking about the ass end of a lite bike. If you can sit yer lard on the tailgate and it holds you one would think you will be alright

I love my Mopars : )

My tailgate got bent with my R6 racebike back in 2006. I love SLOpars too especially when I see them in my review view mirror. ;)

Tell ya what, that thing turns purdy good for a extra cab pick up w a 6.5’ bed

Every single person that has driven it begs me to sell it them

5.9l magnum w 3.90 gears n posi = fun

I have a ‘98 p-pump twin turbo Cummins that is screaming “drop me in the green” : )

Lol

Ouch

No chance. Both those motors are bulletproof. Small block Mopar proven winner and stock Cummins bottom end is good to 1100 hp. Mine I sitting at about 650

Almost 2k ft lbs torque tho : )
