Nothing more dangerous to race than a good handling UNDERPOWERED bike, Chaz is having to over ride the entry and corners to make up for the poor "handling" down the straits. He was looking like his broken team mate.
Lord deliver us from Tilka designed race tracks.

Snapshot of the top speeds from FP4. As usual the RSV4 is trapping the highest speeds, but Chaz trapped higher than Rea. Looks like the Panigale could be making more power than the 10R, but that didn't stop Rea from dominating. I don't think the Panigale is underpowered, they complained about a lack of front end feel.

No denying the Apes are damned fast, but trap speeds can be a bit misleading. For instance, Chaz had higher average trap speeds than Rea OR Haslam at PI during the race, but he was in the draft more often. The bike leading generally had a lower trap speed than the ones in his slipstream. Chaz himself complained of a lack of power at Chang, and said his losing the front was from pushing it too hard on corner entry trying to make up.

Could'nt have said that better, also the Duc takes longer to get up to terminal velocity compared to the 4 bangers, so the big 4's have more dwell time at TV. It's time to give the twins back the 250cc displacement advantage.

Right, but the trap speeds I posted were from the last practice session at Chang. I doubt anyone was giving Chaz a tow.

Lol, if the twins need a 250cc displacement advantage, WSBK should have never gone to the Evo rules. The Evo rules were supposed to slow down the I4s (took away a lot of their trick electronics) and the rules affected the Ducs the least. This is the season the Ducs should have an advantage and I think they're capable of winning, but don't expect the other teams to play dead. Rea and Haslam are riding their ..... off.

Good to see what Rea can do on a competitive machine. I don't know what Honda's problem is... they spend the most money in MotoGP for "development", yet they rarely trickle anything good down to their superbikes or production bikes.

As for Bayliss announcing his final final retirement, I share the opinion that despite his unquestionable talent, he is sensible enough to know that youth and the level of hunger you need to win are two elements that seemingly he now realises have passed him by with time and that he really has nothing to prove. I doubt he would be happy to simply circulate and as he said he has had his shot and time to move aside for younger chargers. A mature and responsible choice from a great champion. Though would have loved to have seen him in Assen.
