The 1199 in traffic

Guys - let's answer the original question. How does it work in traffic "without" Termis and a chip / remap?? I also want to know if it has the typical surging problems under 4,000 RPM's? I was hoping to avoid having to put Termis and a re-map on it to behave normally. Thanks.

I tried city with a castrated Panigale (stock exhaust and 106hp of engine power only; thanks French limitations), and worked great, no surging problem, no lack of power, nothing, just a great beast which want to go faster, tells you it can go faster, but understand you don't need yet to go faster.

Is that max HP???? or wet mode??? Either way that sucks

I guess there isn't a way to purchase a bike from another EU country and bring back to France??

France has 100HP limit on bikes. If I lived there I would work on getting a 300lb bike with 100HP. Not a 400lb bike with 175+ HP.

That seems like an extremely huge waste of money to purchase a bike that has its balls cut off. That's alomst half HP

I'm with turnone - buy the lighest 100 HP bike you can find and you will be faster than all of the nuetered 1199's in France - LOL

That's just crazy

Vive le Québec libre. ^^

Anyway, we do not care about the limit.

Buying a bike outside is not a solution, but, with the Ducs, we just have the ECU reprogrammed with an European limitless ECU, or we buy Termis and upgrade the map.
Either way problem solved.

Of course, it's totally illegal, but .... the law.

ta, as im going to use this for a main source of travel I will be using it on all types of roads.
I currently have a 2005 749 and was thinking of getting a 848 evo because the 1199 might be a bit of a handfull in the city.

Thoughts?

Get a used Ducati HM1100. My favorite bike I've ever owned and my daily driver.

If you don't like the looks of the naked stock HM, you can change the look drastically.
