The new S1000rr or the rsv4 rf? lol

Just read this

$19,695. This will also get you the Race package, the Dynamic package and forged wheels. Other benefits include the Rain, Sport, and Race modes, with the Slick and User modes available with the Pro option which includes Launch Control, Pit-Lane Speed Limiter, and 15-presets for the DTC. The electronic Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) is also said to be better than the one in the HP4 bikes no longer available in 2015.

That is a lot for less than $20k though. It appears we will have another battle. This time its 3 ways. R1M, Panigale R and the S1000rr. Cant wait to test ride all 3 :)

Maybe for that number I'll actually see a BMW or two out on the track next season. For something everyone claims is such a worldbeater you hardly ever see them...

Mark, who cares which bikes win a magazine shoot based on opinions of the editors. Based on the last couple of shootouts, the RSV4 and the Panigale came in 1st and 2nd in rgeards to lap times. Aprilia and Ducati won WSBK and SSTK. Thats what matters.

i dont care who wins the mags either thats why i put a wink there. my point is look what you get for under 19k thats all. just so happens to be a bmw s1000rr which so lovingly stirs the pot on this forum with so many (not you) having an inferiority complex.

if it wasnt for looks the panigale r wouldnt even be mentioned. the r1m is 22k the s1000rr is under 20k the r is 35k  cant forget the rsv4 ape is truely going after it too.

They said they flipped the asymmetrical looks to being
Able to distinguish from the last model.

LOL

Nice bike and great value.

Each to their own.

Why buy a Patek when a seiko can show time as well?

Because wood !!!!

Is this even a debate????..fantastic machine... Amazing value for money...But if you love the 1199/1299 concept it may not appeal.... not sure why there's any animosity from either side...2 great very different machines... Peace..

For the track days that I had gone to this year, there was one (1) HP4 Competition (or whatever they brand it as) at the track and one (1) 1199 (mine)... Both bikes more then held their own on the track and we traded back and forth between straights and corners. All in all... I don't care what you ride in the sport category so long as you ride and have fun.

Honestly, I wish I saw more "high end" bikes at the track. Get tired of hearing people rant and rave about how stupid I am for bringing a Ducati on the track... "What if something happens". Most people don't like the answer: "I fix it... and do it again". :)

Mark,

Not sure why you are getting your panties in a twist.

It's a great bike at a good price just like the new R1 and the 1199/1299 base.

buy whatever floats your boat and enjoy it.

Yet Ducati still sells every bike they make - to each their own (even if they have horribly bad taste, and must have 4 cylinders to do the job of 2).
