here is what Pirro has about JLo :

On the weekend the MotoGP season 2017 starts in the second half. For some pilots, the tenth race weekend of the season is a reboot. Jorge Lorenzo undoubtedly ranks among the riders who have been behind the expectations in the first nine races. While team colleague Andrea Dovizioso was able to win two races and lead the World Championship in the meantime, Lorenzo usually followed behind and only once stood on the podium. Currently, the Spaniard is only a world champion. But with a view to the forthcoming Czech Republic Grand Prix in Brno, Lorenzo is optimistic about finally improving. He has already won twice in Brno. He was also on the podium three more times in his MotoGP career. "We have reached the half season of the season. After spending a few days on the German Grand Prix, I had a hard training in the past three weeks and was preparing for the second part of the championship, "Lorenzo says, looking at the Czech Republic Grand Prix : "Brno is a track on which I feel comfortable. I think I can show a good performance there. "" The course has many curves, all are linked. I have a lot of good memories. I can not wait to get back to work with my team and improve on the nine races. I am convinced that we will make a big step, "the former Yamaha factory spokesman emphasizes. Important breather for Lorenzo Riding coach Michele Pirro is convinced that the break between the races in Germany and the Czech Republic was good for Lorenzo: "I think he needed this one-month break," the Ducati testpilot from GPOne.com is quoted , The weak results after the podium in Jerez also surprised Pirro: "It is not nice to see him suffer. I hope that his work will be combined with our fruits. "" Jorge lacks confidence, "explains Pirro, continuing his troubled problems, adding:" All drivers have a problem with a new and unique motorbike The Ducati. He is a driver who uses the front very intensively. He drives very gently and cleanly. If he does not have a good faith then it will lead to more suffering than others. "Ducati has a lot of hopes in the new Aero panel, which will debut in Brno. "We are trying to compensate for the loss of the winglets from aerodynamics. We hope Jorge will help you with its symptoms. When he tested the bike with Winglets in November, he was very impressed. The big goal is to give him confidence in the front wheel, "says Pirro. It is still not clear whether Ducati's new disguise is actually homologated in the Czech Republic. "The conditions must be right to use. We need to understand whether it's an advantage on this kind of track, "notes the Ducati test driver.

I like the latest installment of Dear George, all that aside Jorge is getting paid a .... load of money to race that bike, no matter where he finishes. And in the world of today, money makes it all right. He can go buy an Island, name it Lorenzo Land, buy some subjects, and live happily ever after.

LOL

rest of the season gonna be a hooooot!

Its definitely going to be a good second half of the season. Dovi definitely proved a bit of a dark horse during the first half, lets see if he can step it up and maintain the pressure and consistency during the second half.

In not convinced that downforce generating aero is the right way to go, none of the other manufacturers seem to have quite the same problem and most of the bikes are now rumoured to be putting out about 260BHP  . However,I have asked the team to send me one of their fancy new fairings for my Anniversario as it makes so much power (see Ducati lies about the power output thread) and I can't keep enough weight over the front end to make the tyre work either, let alone stop those pesky wheelies.

Either way, roll on the second half of the season, its going to be awesome.

Aero solved the problem of too much power by keeping the front wheel more planted. Generate more drive, then use the wings to keep the front down. Other solution is to soften the power delivery and/or electronic intervention. All of which will rob the bike of power. The Duc generates (or uses) more power than the others, and aero was a way to keep those extra HP usable.

Let's face it, the reals reason they banned the wings is they didn't like the way they looked. Safety concerns are generally bogus - there are plenty of other things on a bike that stick out that can cause injury. The new aero packages to me look worse and are more obtrusive than the wings ever were. The aero genie is out of the bottle, and it ain't going back in. Unless they decide to homologate fairings based on what they want the bikes to look like.

welcome back boys turn out the lights the party is over one hand on the title again give me 6

Season is not finished yet.

Yamaha better hire someone from NASCAR or Indy that understands the nature of pit strategy, WTF?
