The mark I show you in the picture. The screen changed shape outside like something burnt it. And this is the third time this happens. I have already changed another 2 dashboards with the same problem.

Its possible that the windscreen is acting like a big magnifying glass and melting the dash. I know that Zero Gravity (http://www.zerogravity-racing.com/pdfs/melting_dash.pdf) in particular has a bunch of warnings about this sort of thing and goes as far as to recommend parking facing in certain directions to avoid the magnifying glass effect. Are you running the stock windscreen?

No I am running the ducati performance windscreen and the bike was stopped in the shadow during my morning coffee ride. I think is impossible to be done this kind of damage from just a ride. I put the new dash this Friday. It is ...... crazy what happens to me.

Screws look different... Could be another screen .

Go tinted!

No it is definitely the original ducati dash and original ducati performance windscreen. The screw is different because I put a holder for the gps there and needs longer screw..

Known issue with Ducati Performance Screen.

Change screen or dont park your bike under the sun

i will tell you the problem but nobody wants to believe it. they all make excuses for ducati. its the soul of the bike you pay 30k euro for this "soul" . You see I'm sorry but i said i would not talk about this anymore but stop you make me talk about it cause you can't just say ducati messed up in the design. park in the shade are you serious guys? anybody have any other type of bike that this happened to? no. when will you admit this bike sucks. this is the guys 3rd dash and you are talking different screws is it after market windscreen etc. its the upgraded wind screen from DUCATI what more do you want him to do? come on 3 dash boards already give it a rest . you are like the media with obama always carrying the water for ducati.

I had DP windscreen in Texas summer and my dash didn't melt.... so I am not sure I agree with that suggestion...

Hey I'm jealous you got your dealer to replace it, twice! My dealer won't even put the effort in changing it once. They didn't even know there was a harness recall this past summer. I had to give them the info from this forum.
Be happy of your dealer and enjoy the "free" mileage reset.

The problem is that I did not left it exposed to the sun. This is why I am so mad.

You dont have to. Just about any sun exposure even while riding can do it.

It got hot. So what made it hot? Well we all know it was the sun being reflected.

When will you get on board is the only question left.

There are lots of bikes that this has happened to. R1s, R6s, CBRs, GSXRs, Versys, ZX6s, and even KLRs have suffered the same fate. Has to do with optics, not Ducati (mine alone has spent thousands of hours baking in the sun, btw, without any issues). You have such a vicious resolution to see Ducati as being the Anti-Christ of reliability that you lose the power of logic and objectivity when someone so much as mentions an issue.

WARNING! Due to the shape of some windscreens, regardless of brand, the sun's rays, under rare and unusual circumstances, may concentrate and reflect off the underside of the windscreen onto the components of your dashboard. If you plan on leaving your motorcycle in the sun for ANY length of time, you are advised to cover your dashboard area so as to protect plastic components and other items sensitive to heat, such as, but not limited to, your speedometer, tachometer or other gauges or instruments, from the possibility of melting or deforming. Speedin' Motorsports assumes no liability or responsibility for any damage to your motorcycle caused by the sun or for any other reason.
